The link to temperature-mashup-bug-fixed.docx opens Word (2010), but it’s empty and there’s nothing to save!

Please read the notes. WordPress doesn’t let me upload XLSX files or even ZIP files. You must save that file and then rename it to XLSX. Sorry.

OK, I’ve uploaded the XLSX to a SkyDrive. Link fixed. No more need for rename. My apologies for the confusion Matt :)
